			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The First Chakra or root Chakra can be found at the base of the spine, between the legs. This Chakra, referred to as Muladhara in ancient Sanskrit gives us stability and is the most significant of all of the Chakras. This chakra is the one that a lot of people have problems with and the one that most needs to get balanced with the other Chakras.</p>
<p> Your power, your general well being and your ability to survive are represented by this Chakra. This Chakra can help you maintain your connection with the earth and it will also give you a desire for self comfort, including economic stability.</p>
<p> With the root Chakra activated and balanced, maters of abundance and affluence can be helped.</p>
<p> With a blocked root Chakra or one that is not spinning as it ought to be then this can create difficulty in all of the aspects referred to above. There are also bodily symptoms which can be hindered by having an unbalanced root chakra, these being hemorrhoids, back problems, circulatory problems, bowel problems and obesity to mention a few.</p>
<p> The principal color associated with this Chakra is red. Its metal is Iron and its element is Earth. The stones associated are red jasper, ruby and hematite. Use of these stones, especially the red jasper can create a healthy aggressive attitude towards your own basic survival. and can as such promote good health. To help us unite with the earth a dormant energy inside us can be awakened. All of the lower chakras can be balanced by meditating with these stones which can help you become more grounded. For shy individuals or timid people these stones, when used to balance the root chakra can promote courage and strength.</p>
<p> When this Chakra is perfectly balanced, the psychological elements provide you control over your own creative will and your self assurance. When the root Chakra is out of balance however, selfishness, depression and shyness are prevalent with a tendency towards distraction and an inability to save money.</p>
