Overview of Yeast Infections

Even some healthy women, can carry yeast in their vaginal area. It is typically when a women has a lowered immune system that that yeast multiplies and creates a yeast infection. Other factors include hygiene sprays or if a woman douches too much she can also get them.

A yeast infection isn’t a sexually transmitted disease it is a bacteria called candida that grows in moist areas of the body. Yeast infections are very common among women and can be easily treated as quickly as they are found. Women with low immune systems due to cancer treatments or women taking antibiotics can develop yeast infections.Women who have gestational diabetes are more likely to be affected by yeast infection.

This is because the bodies defenses are down so the bacteria grows when it should be dormant. Any women can get a yeast infection, it doesn’t mean that you are unhealthy or that you did something to cause the problem, it just mean that your defenses are down so you need to do something to improve your health condition. Yeast infections can be avoided if you are a healthy person and you drink plenty of water but this is not always the case in all women.Yeast grows from too much sugar and bread or yeast in your diet.

If you start to develop a yeast infection sometimes you can cut these things out of your diet and the infection will go away, if you catch it in an early stage. Plain yogurt is a great at home remedies for a yeast infection. Yogurt, without the sugar, helps put the good bacteria back into your body so that the infection clears up.

There are also many over the counter creams and suppositories that you can buy to help remedy itchiness and redness caused by the infection. Women shouldn’t think that they are prone to yeast infections just because they are unhealthy.

Anyone with a lowered immunity can get a yeast infection. Be smart and watch what you eat to lower the chances of developing any type of infection. Sometimes infections can’t be prevented. Don’t worry too much if you do get one because they can be treated. If you do get a yeast infection, cinsult with your doctor and stay away from sugar until the infection disappear. It’s recommended to read as much as possible so that you will be more prepared if an infection does happen in the body.
