After a while your muscles become acclimated to this movement, and your body adapts. The results over time will diminish because without challenging your body it will acclimate. In addition, you’re also putting a lot of stress on particular joints repeatedly. You probably won’t get hurt but it’s definitely not the best way of doing things.
Cardio can definitely lead to boredom in your workouts, causing you to slack off. If you think you can just get away with a 30 minute jog you really don’t have your head in the right place in terms of gaining results. You have to constantly challenge your body for the best fitness returns.
