“The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new. ” | Socrates

One of the greatest most challenging journeys you'll ever go on is seeing what your body is able to do. Maybe you are in shape, totally out of shape, or simply hoping to lose some weight. Nevertheless, developing a body that you can be proud, one that’s healthy, and permits you to truly adore every possible last tiny inch of it truly is a dazzling journey to try.

So what is the key to making an enduring change with your body?

Consistency and commitment.

There’s nothing else like coming to the table every single day and giving it your best shot. Your best effort must be yours and yours alone. Don’t start comparing your journey to other journeys or else you'll become unmotivated and discouraged. Instead, understand you are contesting with yourself and yourself alone. Will there be times on your journey where you try and fail? Yes, many times. But every single time you do, you need to come back with a firm dedication to achieving something you’ve always really wanted. Consistency will keep you in the game and on the field each and every day. Without it, you'll suffer the the inescapable and bad reality of many new years resolutioners who give up each single year on making the body of their dreams because they do not have the personal power to keep on coming back time and again.

Commitment also is evoked, though not the commitment that you are possibly thinking of. In our world, we are fed this strong idea that everything must take place right now and if it does not happen right now, it isn't worth it at all. Your body is going to drastically change throughout all the years, so why don’t you make a lifelong dedication to keeping healthy? Is that a sexy sellable idea? Not really. But is it something that might really change the course of your life? Absolutely.

When you make a pledge to keeping your body healthy all throughout your whole life, you'll at last reach whatever goal you wish. It is about seeing the bigger picture than merely the few months in front of you till summer. It’s about developing something you can be happy with forever. For me, that new concept made my life different as I was able to ultimately hit my health targets after 12 years of struggling with my self-image and food issues. But as soon as I shifted my view of what I was attempting to attain, everything I had wished for came to me. So try it on for size and see if it might work for you. Make a total and relentless commitment to staying healthy and watch how much your body will change in the short term also.

Bring some commitment and consistency to the table, in all sides of your life, and things will change significantly.
